About Me

My name is Jonathan Parker and I'm the Founder of Star Search Casting ( http://StarSearchCasting.com ). Back in 1998, after working in the entertainment industry for a number of years as a talent scout, I became aware of so many individuals with tremendous potential that just weren’t getting the exposure they needed to succeed. That’s when I first conceived of Star Search Casting as a way to help people be “discovered” by getting their faces and resumes in front of thousands of entertainment professionals who were in the position to hire them. Years in development, Star Search Casting became not only the most sophisticated casting site with the most advanced search engine, talent database, and tools to help you get maximum exposure, it also became the number one site where industry professionals go to find new talent!! I can’t tell you how absolutely thrilled I am that SSC has achieved the goal I had in mind when it was originally created!

    The good thing about college

Posted by leavemealone at 06:53 AM on November 13, 2009.

is that we’re given opportunities that were never given to us in high school. (at least for me)

I am not talking about academic stuff here, such as honors, because basically, college took that away from me. =)) My old love named Math is currently killing me.

I am talking about being Betty La Fea for five hours, parading around Ateneo, and acting out a short musical in front of an audience and well, judges. And I am talking about playing Volleyball and Basketball, competing against the upperclassmen. I mean, I’ve done acting and sports in HS but only for the grades. I’ve played the roles of Shylock, Athena and the pobreng babae and I’ve won the Table Tennis and Chess Intrams (HAHA). In college, I did those stuff for pure fun =)

Which, by the way, is really fun!

So yesterday was my org’s Novemberfest (sportsfest). I am lucky to be part of this superduper org-active and athletic block named X. My block (and a few from X1 and X2) represented the freshmen for Men’s & Women’s Basketball, Mixed Volleyball and Badminton. I played for bball and vball :D Our Men’s Basketball Team and Mixed Volleyball Team made it to the championships (Will be held on Wed next week)! The Badmin Elims will be held tomorrow and I’m wishing them good luck. =)

ALAM MO BA. In our first bball game against the seniors, the score was 14-22. I made 10 out of our 14 points =)) Pero wait. Nakashoot lang naman ako kasi naawa yung kalaban namin sa score namin kaya hindi na nila ako binantayan sa last quarter =))

And I have floor burn. =( I can’t walk properly and I’m feeling so weak that’s why I’m spending my time Tumblr-ing. It doesn’t use much energy! =)

P.S. Many of my blockmates are varsity players in HS. Hindi naman kami talaga nerd block =P

Was with the same people I was with the night before, except for Kuya Nico.

    First stop @ Starbucks (again)

We all love Peppermint Mocha =))

    Second stop @ Glam Nails

Had mani/pedi, foot spa and hand paraffin. Very relaxing!

While we were there, a Chinese girl was having her pedicure and nail art. She’s twelve and was accompanied by her mother. She’s such a pretty and happy kid (she loves smiling). But later on, she was repetitively screaming words such as Oy! and HELP! And then tears would gather around her eyes. Her mother told us (not exactly us) that her daughter was diagnosed with autism. So she was literally screaming for help. It stirred me. =(

    Third stop @ Eastwood

First of, we had dinner at Sizzling Pepper Steak (after 10 years of deciding where to eat). Girl bonding after eating (Will keep private the things we talked about, but mainly family thing). Tita then shopped for pairs of shoes. We were supposed to watch 500 Days of Summer but we canceled. Instead, we shopped at Folded and Hung. I love their plain shirts. =) And I’m going back for that necklace. =(

Fourth stop @ Tita’s house, Pasig

Karaoke again =)) It was already midnight by that time. We used the MagicSing and had some SanMig Light and chips. :D

YEHEY for another great day =D

    NOV 6

Spent two hours at Timezone, Trinoma with the moron(s). The plan was to go to Redbox but since we came late and had no reservations, all rooms were already occupied. But we were freakin’ desperate to sing lalala so we resorted to Music Zone for P11/song. =) I picked old songs (of Air Supply, Michael Learns to Rock… those original Karaoke-ish songs) instead of Chris Brown and Neyo. Why, it was totally fun. Especially singing Total Eclipse of the Heart and Mr. DJ (laugh now =D).

P.S. I used to love the karaoke when I was a gradeschooler. My favorite karaoke song then was Paint My Love. =))

    WAIT, may kasunod pa!

So, after Trinoma, I went to Les Pappu salon to have my hair cellophane-d. The entire process went for three solid hours. The color? It depends on the light =)) But, for the record, it’s copper-ish.

Friday didn’t end there. Dora lakwatsera!

At around 9pm, Tita Icay, Kuya Nico, Ate Lyn, Ate Princess and I, felt the urge to head to Tomas Morato or Timog. We ended at Music Bank along Timog Ave. Well, yeah, it is another karaoke place. =) (Note: They weren’t the people I was with in Music Zone during the earlier part of the day.) Music Bank is basically like Redbox, only a better and more expensive version. We paid 2000+ for 2 hours of room use, including a combo platter with 10 drinks. So it was like 200/person/hour. If you need a place to hangout on during the night, and your throat needs some exercise, I totally recommend this place.

This time, we sang Neyo, Chris Brown, Rihanna and such. And of course, the favorite karaoke song, Total Eclipse of the Heart. =) It was a night of sing, dance, beers, and a tinge of family bonding. FUN!

    And the last stop was…

Starbucks Retiro. Peppermint Mocha won my heart and my taste buds. Goodbye White Chocolate Dream of Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf. =P I’ve found my new love!

GREAT FRIDAY. Thank you Tita, cousins and friends!

    I'm back this soon!

Posted by leavemealone at 05:09 AM on November 8, 2009.

October 8 was the last entry in my diary. So what came after?

October 10 My cousin, Thea's debut held at a resort in Pampanga. The clan was almost complete. The program was kinda long 'cos she had 18 senior roses, 18 junior roses, 18 treasures and 18 candles... and a couple of suprise intermission numbers from her friends. Food was great. We all  enjoyed the swimming part. Tiring but really really fun!

October 11 Shopping at 168 with my two cousins, Ate Lyn and Ate Princess. I bought a gladiator shoes for only 250. Yay! Went to SM San Lazaro after, met up with Kuya Nico and we all had lunch at Yellow Cab.

    October 13
Went to Aldrin's place at Corinthians to finish our AMC project. Was with Jaimz and Emil. Karaoke and red wine after.

October 15 Went to school to clear my other hold orders. Had lunch at Mcdo Katipunan with my blockmates. Rockband after with Pam, Trish, Cherry, Anna and Alma. Hands Down and Paramore songs! Totally fun!

October 16 Redbox with some blockmates: Ria, Louella, Alma, Trish, Neil and Aldrin. I left after 3pm while some of them went to Timezone.

October 23 Lara's debut at Crossroad77. Had red and black outfit. Was happy to see IV6 people. We had a lot of stories to share. Food was really really great that if I'd have a debut, I'd want the same caterer. Ten shots with Eury, Monica, Kelly, Debbie, Zin and Andie. FUN FUN FUN!

October 24 STC Family Day. Watched 4th year dance pro. Rides: Merry-something and Dolphin-something. HAHAHA. Was with my siblings and cousins. Lunch. Played Bingo. Joined Buban, Cahta and Maeka. Teased A & N. Watched the Family Council concert (which we all agreed to as worth-watching). Watched the Bamboo and Hale concert. Great night!

October 27 Went to La Salle with Leanne. Lunch at Flaming Wings with her plus Haze and Therese. And then Mcdo Taft with them minus Haze plus Tris. GET? ) Went to Glam Nails with Leanne and Therese after. Had our manicure. Home at 8.

October 30 IV6 Reunion at Redbox and Jack's Loft, Trinoma! We were more than 15 but less than 20. Windowshopped with Erica, Alaia, Krizia, Mauli and Miri. Haha. I missed IV6!

October 31 - November 1 Was at San Miguel, Bulacan with my family and the DR's. Went to visit the cemetery. Bunutan for Christmas Kris Kringle. Everyone's too excited!

    November 5
Enrolled for I SEM II in Ateneo. Taichi is my PE. Haha good luck. Same subjects, only more difficult ones. But still, I'm excited for second sem

P.S. The rest of the things that happened to me, including places I went and people I met will be shared to you if you are a Tabulas friend.
